ETS-Lindgren Cassper Overview
The CASSPER EMI instrument is a dual channel spectrum analyzer system that allows one to simultaneously and synchronously make two RF measurements. This two-channel capability allows CASSPER to overcome the shortcomings inherent in using ordinary spectrum analyzers for radiated emissions testing and source localization.
The ambient cancellation capability allows ambient signals to be identified and cancelled. Not only will it remove ambient signals, but it will also accurately extract EUT signals that are at the same frequency as the ambient signals. With this system, one can now locate and accurately measure all of your radiated emission signals and remove the guess work normally involved when testing in a noisy ambient environment. CASSPER's coherence measurement feature allows engineers to identify all sources of EMI noise including multiple sources of the same frequency.
