Tektronix TCA75 Overview
The TCA75 impedance conversion (75 Ohm to 50 Ohm) adapter extends the capabilities of TDS6000/TDS7000/CSA7000 TekConnect oscilloscopes, making them ideal for a variety of general-purpose measurements including broadcast video, high speed telecom, digital streaming video, HDTV and other 75 Ohm terminated signals. The TCA75 TekConnect adapter provides a 75 Ohm path that is easily removed and replaced with other 50 Ohm TekConnect probes, 1 MegOhm amplifiers, or other adapters, while maintaining maximum signal fidelity at the oscilloscope's input.
The TCA75 extends the usefulness of TekConnect series oscilloscopes with 75 Ohm Input Impedance, wide bandwidth with DC to 8 GHz at -3 dB (adapter, limited by oscilloscope bandwidth), linear input voltage less than 12VDC or 12V RMS (de-rated with frequency), 75 Ohm BNC Input Connection System, and TekConnect Auto Scaling Attenuation of 2.46X (TekConnect Auto-Scale provides proper on-screen readout for non-traditional attenuation factors). Tektronix TCA75 adapter also provides instrument compatibility with TDS7154, TDS7254, TDS7404, CSA7154, CSA7404, TDS6404 and TDS6604.
