Tektronix TSG1001 Overview
The Tektronix TSG1001 Programmable TV Generator and SDP1000 Signal Development Package provide a versatile system for definition and generation of commonly used and new television signals. Newly created signals or signals from the SDP1000 libraries can be quickly downloaded to the TSG1001 and output via analog and parallel digital outputs. The signals are generated either with an internal clock, or with a user-supplied clock. Downloaded signals are saved when the generator is off.
In addition to conventional static test signals, the TSG1001 provides moving signals for testing complex image-processing electronics such as bit-rate reduction and motion compensation equipment. The SDP1000 libraries contain simple patterns for basic testing needs. The TSG1001's programmable zone plate generator provides complex patterns for advanced testing requirements; fixed and swept-frequency horizontal, vertical, diagonal and temporal patterns allow true multi-dimensional testing.
