Product Description
Keysight: N4916A
Description: N4916A Industry-first De-Emphasis Signal Converter
Description The Keysight N4916A de-emphasis signal converter enables design and test engineers to accurately characterize gigabit serial ports and channels that operate with de-emphasized signals. This will result in more robust receiver designs, with reliable operation in real PC board environments. De-emphasis is a commonly used technique for transmitting electrical signals at gigabit data rates. De-emphasis compensates for the losses caused by printed circuit boards and backplanes. The most popular high-speed electrical standards require transmitter de-emphasis, sometimes called also pre-emphasis. These standards are: PCI Express 1 and 2, SATA 3G b/s, fully buffered DIMM, CEI 6/11G, 10 Gb Ethernet.
