The Agilent 81480A tunable laser source covers the S-band. (1370 to 1480nm). It is especially designed for testing critical DWDM passive components.
This Agilent ''A'' Tunable Laser Source has been replaced by 81480B but can be upgraded.
The Agilent 81480A is specially designed for the S-Band. It has continuous sweep through full wavelength range with mode-hop free tuning over full wavelength range. The 81480A also has low source spontaneous emission output for high dynamic range. Other key features include high power optical output for optical amplifier test and a built-in real-time wavelength meter. Both optical outputs of the 81480A are equipped with Panda type polarization maintaining fiber.
