Weinschel PA-4 Overview
The Weinschel PA-4 is a Primary Reference Attenuation Standard for use at 1.25 MHz or 30 MHz. The PA-4 design process uses a waveguide below cutoff attenuator and laser interferometer to deliver the ultimate in precision attenuation accuracy with over 100 dB of incremental adjustment range.
The Weinschel PA-4 is the laboratory standard for IF substitution measurement systems. The PA-4 is the ideal choice for certification of measuring receiver or power meter linearity, designed to exceed the accuracy requirements for linearity calibration of the HP / Agilent 8902A and Weinschel VM Series systems.
Attenuation is displayed on a digital front panel readout directly in dB with a resolution of 0.0001 dB. PA-4 accuracy specifications of 0.001 dB/10 dB,plus 0.0005 dB for delta attenuation settings between 15 and 115 dB. The PA-4 is microprocessor controllable vie IEEE-Bus.
